People met on my backpacking 108

.

- The luck I had hoped for was, after all, just an illusion - 5

.

About five minutes after he entered a liquor store, he came out with a well-wrapped liquid bottle. He showed me the bottle and said he bought it for $70. When I tried to find out what kind of liquor it was, he slightly peeled off the wrapper on the lid of the bottle and showed me the label. At first glance, I saw a French brand. He then quickly repackaged it and handed me the bottle. And what he's saying was that he only needed to buy flowers. So I just had to wait there. The flower shop he pointed to was also in the corner next to the licquor shop. Everything seemed to be going well.

.

At this point, I felt sorry that I had doubted him for a moment. Instead, my trust in him had grown stronger. I fell in love with my imagination. "What will the real traditional Moroccan party look like shown in front of me in a little while?" My heart jumped just imagining it. I had a pleasant imagination and waited for him to come out quickly. But he didn't show up. I hoped he'd come out sooner, in vain. The flower shop across the street was still crowded, but he wasn't there. I couldn't even go into the flower shop across the street and check.

.

I never believed he was a fraud. And I waited another half an hour. After all, he didn't show up. I'm beginning to have an ominous feeling. Nevertheless, I still have lingering feelings for him and have not immediately left. However, as time went by, only a sense of fear increased. I felt like someone was watching me like that. The surrounding buildings with a width of about 20m are attached to single floors or two to three floors, and most of them were shopping malls.

This anxiety made it difficult for me to escape the ever-increasing fear. The sidewalks of the surrounding roads were lined with cafes on the road. The atmosphere was similar to Paris as a French colony. People who were sitting on the chairs of cafes seemed to see me strangely. Their gaze at people was very unusual. Thinking of it again now, the way they looked at me was so intense. I have never seen such eyes anywhere in the East and West.

Were they just curious eyes? Were they eyes of deep doubt? Or were they vengeful hateful eyes? Maybe they might be all mixed up. Anyway, for me, especially in such situations, I was afraid and anxious to see their unusually large, black eyes staring at me intensively.

It's already seven o'clock. The sun was already sinking to the west. I didn't have the courage to hold out any longer. Honestly, I wanted to get out of that position right away. I was in a totally unexpected situation. I tried to be as calm as possible, being conscious of the eyes around me.

Just in time, a taxi came up to me. The taxi was like a savior to me. I took a taxi straight away and left the place like running away. I left the spot in a hurry by taking the taxi. But soon I began to feel uneasy. Because I had no idea about the area at all. Fortunately, the taxi driver spoke basic English. As soon as he saw the address of the accommodation I showed him, he nodded and said OK. In fact, in this case I had no choice but to leave it entirely to luck. Because I never knew where he was carrying me. Even more so at night. Therefore, it was much safer to use public transportation such as buses while traveling abroad, especially at night.

Anyway, the taxi I took ran a long way. Finally, I began to see familiar streets and buildings. Only then could I breathe a sigh of relief. When I arrived at the guest house, I was out of my mind. I was so angry that I couldn't stand it. I lay in bed and thought about the happening today. He betrayed the friendship I had given him. It was a humanly intolerable act of betrayal. The phrase "My Brother," which he kept calling me, was a lie after all. I couldn't forgive him. I vowed to pay the price!!!

I've been claiming to be a world backpacker. I hurt my pride a lot when I was swindled by him at this time. I didn't see this scam as a personal matter. I thought it was a shame for us Koreans. So I was more angry. It was because of a sense of betrayal. Terribly and disgustingly felt betrayal!! The more I thought about it, the more angry and frustrated I felt. Anyway, it was a great shame for me to be used by him. I think I trusted them too much.

Thanks. Good luck!
