People met on my backpacking 157 – No one can stop a master's work

.

Registan Square in the center of Samarakan is paved with baked bricks and cobblestones. There are three huge madrasahs mosques (seminaries) that are regarded as examples of medieval Islamic architecture. Among the three mosques, the middle one is the Tilyakari Madrasah, the one on the left is the Ulugbek Madrasah, and the one on the right is the Sherdor Madras. All of them are elaborately decorated with fantastically colored tile mosaics and stone carvings. They are very meticulous, elaborate, and detailed, making them very splendid.

.

Not only that, but I also felt the humanity of the master in that work. The ceiling was decorated with gold leaf to further enhance its status. In this way, the three mosques standing tall in Registan Square form a fantastic harmony. Of course, this place also went through many twists and turns, such as being in crisis during the 17th and 18th centuries. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.

.

The special feature of these mosques is that the interiors are decorated with calligraphic calligraphy along with complex geometric patterns and star-shaped mosaics. As with most mosques, such as the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, the mosques here are also decorated with tiles treated with a mysterious blue shade. At either end of the building are minarets (spirits) entirely decorated with geometric designs. These madrasahs were partially restored in the 1990s after a lecture hall and four large domes at the corner of the courtyard were destroyed in a riot in the 18th century.

.

The madrasah here was one of the world's leading Islamic theological schools in the 15th century. The famous scholar and poet Jimmy (Djami) also studied at this school. He was so famous that he was praised as the 'father' of Samarkand's scientists and a descendant of Plato. In addition, it was responsible for secular as well as theological education here. It was also a research center.

.

The Sher-Dor Madrasah has a tiger-shaped animal and a portion of an anthropomorphic sun at the top of the building. As such, mosaics depicting animals and people were said to be in violation of Sharia (scriptures), so whether or not to retain them was seriously debated. The conclusion recognizes it as a work of Asian art and one of the symbols of Uzbekistan's identity. Fortunately, this is also on the Uzbek 200 som banknote. Almost every evening around 8:00, a fantastic night show of light and sound is held for about 30 minutes. If you miss this, you will definitely regret it.
