<정확한 낱말의 뜻이 중요한 이유>

  예쁘다. 멋있다. 아름답다. 이는 곧 자연스럽다. 잘 어울린다. 어색하지 않다는 의미다. 어린이가 예쁜 옷을 입고 재롱을 떨면 예쁘고 귀엽다. 꿈과 야망 용기를 가진 청소년을 보면 멋이 느껴진다. 군복을 입고 휴가를 와서 부모님께 경례하는 모습 또한 멋있다.
  
  부부가 손을 잡고 걷는 모습은 아름답다. 부부가 마주 앉아 생맥주를 마시는 모습도 아름답다. 부모가 자녀와 함께 둘러앉아 맛있는 음식을 먹으면서 대화를 나누는 모습 역시 아름답다. 온 가족이 열심히 일하고 돈을 벌어서 더 좋은 환경에서 재미있게 사는 모습도 아름답다. 뜻이 맞는 친구와 깊은 대화를 나누는 모습도, 함께 여행하는 모습도 참 아름답다.
  
  자신이 어려울 때 도와준 사람을 기억하는 것은 아름답다. 자기 나라를 만들어 주고 지켜주고 나아가 잘 먹고 잘살게 해 준 위대한 지도자의 은혜를 잊지 않는 모습도 아름답다. 자기 나라가 위기에 놓여 있을 때 물심양면(物心兩面) 도와준 나라의 은혜를 잊지 않는 모습 또한 어른스럽고 아름답다.
  
  그러나 결코 예쁘거나 멋있거나 아름답지 않은 경우도 많다. 어색하고 부자연스럽게 보이기 때문이다. 어린이에게 어른의 흉내를 내게 했을 때, 어른이 젊은이 흉내를 냈을 때, 젊은이가 희망과 야망 대신 안이(安易)함을 추구하며 애늙은이 모습을 보일 때, 아내(남편)가 있는 자가 타(他) 여인(남자)과 손을 잡고 걷거나 마주 앉아 생맥주를 마실 때, 자기 가정과 가족에게는 궁색하고 인색하면서 남에게는 과공비례(過恭非禮)할 정도로 후사(厚賜)하거나 응대(應待)하는 사람 등.
  
  선악(善惡), 피아(彼我), 미추(美醜), 진실과 거짓, 애국자와 반역자, 반려(伴侶)동물과 가축(家畜)을 구분 못하는 사람들 또한 추하기 그지없다. 정확한 낱말의 뜻을 모르거나 생각(이념)이 달라도 너무 다르기 때문이다. 이런 자들은 자기 나라를 침략해 동족을 살상하고 나라를 파괴한 자들을 적(敵)으로 생각하지 않는다. 반대로 자기 나라를 세우고 발전시킨 진짜 애국자와 동맹국을 적으로 삼는다. 그리고 끊임없이 선전·선동으로 확산 재생산한다. 목적이 자신의 모국(母國) 파괴이기 때문이다.
  
  사람은 결혼을 통해 일생을 함께 할 배우자를 맞이한다. 곧 인생의 반려자(伴侶者)를 얻는 것이다. 반려의 대상이 사람이면 반려자, 동물이면 반려동물, 식물이면 반려식물, 물고기이면 반려 물고기, 미술이면 반려 미술이라고 한다. 이처럼 대상이 다를 뿐 어떤 경우든 반려자란 언제 어디서든 항상 서로 옆을 지켜주며 희노애락(喜怒哀樂)을 함께하는 짝이란 뜻이다. 사람에 따라선 인간 대신 반려 동식물(動植物)과 예술품에 더 깊고 두터운 사랑과 위로와 신뢰를 쌓기도 한다. 사람에게 배신을 당한 경우다. 반려동물은 반려자와 동격이다. 학대하거나 버리거나 더더욱 먹거리로 하면 안 되는 이유이다. 이는 이미 동서양 남녀노소 인종을 초월한 인간의 본성과 양식(良識)에 기초한 사회적 약속이다.
  
  한편 가축(家畜)이라 부르는 소. 말. 돼지. 염소. 닭 등은 인간이 필요로 하는 물질, 즉 고기, 알, 뼈, 가죽, 털 등을 얻기 위한 목적으로 집 마당 내외에서 사육하는 것을 말한다. 목적이 달성되면 당연히 퇴출된다. 실내에서 동거하는 반려동물과 확연히 다른 점이다. 가축은 인간이 반려동물처럼 감정을 교류하면서 서로 위로받고 외로움을 들기 위해 키우는 것이 아니기 때문이다. 따라서 왜 개는 먹으면 안 되고 왜 소와 돼지는 되느냐고 묻는 것은, 마치 왜 반려자인 아내(남편)와는 쉽게 헤어지지 못하면서 왜 이성(異性) 친구나 동업자는 쉽게 정리할 수 있냐고 반박하는 것과 같다. 반려(伴侶)라는 낱말의 뜻을 오해한 결과다.

  Imitated behavior can be awkward and unnatural, as seen when a child imitates an adult, an adult imitates a young person, or a young person imitates an old person. They don't view the invaders, who killed their own people, as enemies but instead view the patriots and allies who built their country as enemies. They constantly spread propaganda and incitement to destroy their motherland.
  
  When a person marries, they choose a life partner, whether it's a person, animal, plant, fish, or work of art. A companion is someone who is always by their side, sharing joys and sorrows. Some people develop stronger love, comfort, and trust in their life partners, such as pets, animals, and artwork. This commitment transcends race, gender, age, and ethnicity. Pets are considered life partners and should not be abused, abandoned, or eaten. This social commitment is based on human nature and good sense, transcending race, gender, age, and ethnicity.
  
  Cows, horses, pigs, goats, and chickens are kept in and around the house for human consumption, such as meat, eggs, bones, hides, and hair. Once their purpose is fulfilled, they are naturally disposed of.
