  173개국을 무비자로 갈 수 있는 여권을 가진 행운의 한국인들!!! 1950~1960년대를 생생히 기억하는 세대에게는, 적어도 나에게는 꿈같은 얘기다. 그래서 나는 더 적극적으로 그 꿈같은 현실을 매일매일 실천에 옮기고 있는지 모른다.
  
  자랑스런 대한민국! 역사 이래 대한민국이 오늘날처럼 수년간 꾸준히 초일류 강대국들과 어깨를 나란히 해본 적이 있든가. 세계사에서 존재감조차 희미했던 최빈곤국이자 오늘날까지 이어지고 있는 중공의 내정 간섭 등 실질적 패악질을 당해 온 대한민국이었기 때문에 더더욱 그렇다.
  
  한국의 발전과 그 위상에 세계가 놀라는 이유이기도 하다. 그러나 아이러니하게도 세계가 부러워하는 이런 대단한 나라를 당사자인 한국인 절반 정도는 여전히 대한민국을 헬조선(생지옥)이라 욕한다. 이들은 오늘날 성공한 대한민국에 기여는커녕 사사건건 방해하고 나아가 아예 대한민국을 망하는 길로 끌고 가는 정치 세력과 반대한민국 단체를 지지한다.
  
  지금도 세계 인구의 3분의 2, 적어도 50억~60억 인구는 평생 자기 나라 여권을 쥐고 세계여행 한 번 하다 죽는 것을 소원한다. 나는 이를 직접 그들의 나라에서 그들로부터 들었다. 한국인! 어느 날 갑자기 굴러온 호박 덩굴이라서 그럴까. 복에 겨워서 그럴까. 귀찮아하는 표정들이다.
  
  지금 대한민국이라는 거대한 밥상에는 173개나 되는 다양한 음식이 차려져 있다. 각자 입맛에 맞는 것을 원하는 만큼 골라 먹어라는 것이다. 그저 차려줘도 못 챙겨 먹는다. 아예 발로 걷어차 버린다. 적어도 한국인의 절반이 이에 해당한다. 누구를 탓하고 원망하겠는가. 팔자로 돌려야지. 멍에를 지고 사는 것이 더 편하다는데.

  Lucky Koreans with visa-free passports to 173 countries!!! For a generation that vividly remembers the 1950s and 1960s, that sounds like a dream, at least to me. So I may be more active in putting that dreamy reality into practice every day.
  
  Proud Republic of Korea! Since its 5,000-year history, the Republic of Korea has never consistently stood shoulder to shoulder with top powers for years as it is today. This is all the more so because Korea was one of the poorest countries in world history that even existed faintly and has suffered a substantial defeat, including the continued interference of the communist regime in internal affairs to this day.
  
  This is why the world is surprised at Korea's development and status. Ironically, however, Koreans themselves still criticize Korea as "hellish Joseon" for such a great country that the world envies. Shamefully, they support political forces and organizations that stand in the way of destroying the Republic of Korea, rather than contributing to the successful Republic of Korea today.
  
  Even now, three-thirds of the world's population, at least 5 billion to 6 billion, hold their country's passports and wish to die on one trip around the world for the rest of their lives. I have heard this firsthand from them in their own countries. Koreans kick their luck on their own feet. It's as if they are trying to escape from freedom! These are expressions of longing for slavery.
  
  Currently, Korea's huge table has 173 different dishes. This means that each person should choose as many things as they want to eat. Unfortunately, however, Koreans do not seem to have the ability or desire to do so. It may be Koreans' natural destiny.

  헨리 앤 파트너스가 수요일 발표한 2024년 1분기 헨리 여권지수는 다음과 같다.
  
  공동 1위는 일본, 싱가포르, 프랑스, 독일, 이탈리아, 스페인. 이 나라들 국민은 무비자로 194개국에 입국할 수 있다.
  
  공동 2위는 193개국을 무비자 입국 가능한 한국과 핀란드 스웨덴 3개국이다.
  
  이어 △3위 오스트리아, 덴마크, 아일랜드, 네덜란드(192개국) △4위 벨기에, 룩셈부르크, 노르웨이, 포르투갈, 영국 (191개국) △5위 그리스, 몰타, 스위스 (190개국) △6위 체코, 뉴질랜드, 폴란드 (189개국) △7위 캐나다, 헝가리, 미국 (188개국) △8위 에스토니아, 리투아니아 (187개국) △9위 라트비아, 슬로바키아, 슬로베니아(186개국) △10위 아이슬란드(185개국) 순이었다.

  The South Korean passport ranked second among 199 countries based on the number of destinations that do not require a visa.
  
  According to the Henley Passport Index for the first quarter of 2024 released by Henley and Partners on Wednesday, South Korean passport holders can enter 193 countries without a visa, tied for second place with Finland and Sweden.
  
  The country has moved up one spot from third in just half a year, with the passport granting visa-free access to 189 countries in the second quarter of 2023.
  
  This year, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy and Spain are tied for first place as their citizens are able to enter 194 countries without a visa.
  
  North Korea was ranked 97th alongside Bangladesh, with passport holders from the country being able to travel to 42 countries without a visa.
